For those who were regulars at the Casino (Neil was there throughout the 1970's) the painting shows a view of the dancers looking out from the stage, with crowds looking down from the balcony above. Fifteen dancers are out on the floor dancing to the Northern Soul classics. Neil really captures the subtle colours and shadows of the club in this painting - it really brings to life the energy of the Casino and Northern Soul.
