ABOUT THIS PIECE

 "The Next in Line"

An original water colour painting of Wigan Casino before an all-nighter.

"The Next in Line" is an original water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.

The painting shows the crowds gathering before an all-nighter at Wigan Casino. Teenagers with hold alls and record bags crowd the pavement in front of the club. A coach is parked up with Northern Soul fans who have made the journey heading to the entrance to the club. Back in the 1970's this is how it was - the best nights ever!

"The Next in Line" is one of our most popular prints - this is the original painting from which the prints were taken!

Neil was a regular at the Casino - all his art is done from memory!

Close up details from the painting can be seen in images 2 to 4.

The painting has been completed on 350 gram textured art paper, and measures 34 cm wide by 24 cm tall.

Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity - please see image 5.

The painting will be insured and sent by Royal Mail, securely packaged.

Art collectors demand authenticity, for this reason all Neil's art has his dancing girl logo printed on the reverse, please see image 6. This, with the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity gives excellent provenance for all our art.
