 "Northern Soul Interpretations, Part V" is an original water colour painting on art paper by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.

The painting shows a scene on a Northern Soul dance floor with the dancers going through their moves. A girl in a red dress spins while the dancer next to her does a back drop - all doing their dance interpretations to the music. The colours are crisp and clear - the painting really brings to life the energy of Northern Soul. There's vibrancy in every brushstoke!!

"Northern Soul Interpretation, Part V" measures 30 cm wide by 21 cm tall and has been completed on 250 gram art paper.

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is drawn from memory. He was a regular at the Casino and many other Northern Soul clubs throughout the 1970's. His art is regarded by many people as an iconic part of the Northern Soul scene.
