"Outside the Casino, IV" - Original Water Colour Painting by Neil Thompson. Size - 32 cm wide by 24 cm tall.

"Outside the Casino, IV" is an original signed water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.

The painting shows a scene outside Wigan Casino. The crowd is growing, the atmosphere is beginning to build, all anticipating the night ahead. It happened every Saturday night before the start of an all nighter. Just looking at the painting and you could be back there!

The painting provokes strong emotions and memories - it would be a brilliant focal point on the wall of a soul room or bar.

Neil has been part of the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's. He's visited many Northern Soul clubs and was a regular at the Casino during the 1970's. All his art is done from memory, he doesn't need to use old photographs - he was there in the glory days of Northern Soul!

Close up details from the painting can be seen in images 2, 3 and 4.

"Outside the Casino, IV", measures 32 cm wide by 24 cm tall and has been completed on 350 gram textured art paper.

This is an original piece of art, there are no copies or prints.

Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity - please see image 5.
