Back in the 1970's and early 80's coaches packed with teenagers travelled from all over the country to dance to rare Northern Soul records. The Casino was always packed, the atmosphere electric and it was so hot! The place to go for a breather was up on the balcony. Neil re-creates such a scene with people looking down on to the dance floor below and others taking "Time Out." That's what it was like!!

Close up details from the sketch can be seen in the supplementary images .

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is drawn from memory.
