"Everybody Dance Now, Part III" - Original Oil Painting on Board

 

"Everybody Dance Now, Part III" is an original oil painting on art board by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. 

 

The painting shows a scene on a packed Northern Soul dance floor. Over 50 dancers are out on the floor dancing their own interpretation to the beat of the music. The colours are vibrant - the painting really brings to life the energy of Northern Soul. Just looking at the painting and you could be on that dance floor! There's vibrancy in every brushstoke!!

 

"Everybody Dance Now, Part III" measures 34 cm wide by 22 cm tall and has been completed on art board.

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is drawn from memory. He was a regular at the Casino and many other Northern Soul clubs throughout the 1970's. His art is regarded by many people as an iconic part of the Northern Soul scene.
