"One Night at Wigan Casino" is an original signed oil painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. 

The painting shows a scene outside Wigan Casino. Coaches pull up, full of teenagers all heading for the club. The crowd is growing, the atmosphere is beginning to build, all anticipating the night ahead. It happened every Saturday night before the start of an all nighter. Just looking at the painting and you could be back there! 

The painting really commands a presence, colourful and eye catching - it would be a brilliant focal point on the wall of a soul room, a man or woman cave or a soul bar.

Neil has been part of the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's. He's visited many Northern Soul clubs and was a regular at the Casino during the 1970's. All his art is done from memory, he doesn't need to use old photographs - he was there in the glory days of Northern Soul!
