"At the Casino, Part IV" is an original water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. 

The painting shows a scene in front of Wigan Casino before a Saturday all nighter. Teenagers travelled from all over the country in the 1970's to listed to and dance to rare Northern Soul records. The scene outside the Casino was always electric - most people with hold alls, others with record cases all looking forward to the night ahead. This was the place the in crowd met before going into the club. Neil's painting captures that era - At the Casino!!

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is drawn from memory. He was a regular at the Casino  and many other Northern Soul clubs throughout the 1970's. His art is regarded by many people as an iconic part of the Northern Soul scene.

The painting has been completed on 250 gram art paper, and measures 22 cm wide by 15 cm tall. The painting has been mounted using a classic ivory mount, and framed using a slim New Yorker style black frame. The overall size with the frame is 31.5 cm wide by 23 cm tall.

The painting can be wall hung, or the frame has a stand to display on any flat surface.
