"23rd September 1973, Prep 1" is an original, signed water colour painting by Neil Thompson. 

The painting shows a scene on the balcony at Wigan Casino, looking down on to the dance floor. The title given to the painting "23rd September, 1973, Prep 1" - the first ever Northern Soul all nighter at Wigan Casino.

The painting measures 17 cm wide x 12 cm tall and has been completed on 250 gram art paper. The painting has been mounted using a black mount and framed using a black glazed frame. The overall size with the mount and the frame is 30.5 cm wide by 25.5 cm tall.

Can be wall hung, or the frame has a stand to display on any flat surface.

As the name suggests "23rd September, 1973, Prep 1" is a preparatory work for a bigger painting of the same name (now sold and in a private collection).
